County Commissioner, Kerry W. Gibson
"To the Citizens of Weber County:

Several years ago while serving as a state legislator I became impressed with Ernest Rowley's dedication to the citizens of Weber County and our property rights.  Now as a Weber County commissioner I have seen firsthand  his dedication and work for the interest of the property owners of our county.  He understands our constitutional right to property and when necessary lobbies the legislature to ensure that the property rights of the citizens of the county are not adversely affected.
Ernest worked with the Clerk/Auditor to put in place a system as an added layer of protection for property owners that assures property in the county going for tax sale is in fact due to delinquency and not due to county errors.  Over the years he has brought a number of parcels erroneously created to the commission for correction as required by law.  This demonstrates his concern for the property owners of the county and his respect for the rule of law.

He has managed the office during very difficult economic times and I have always found him to be carefully assessing the needs of the office with the needs of the public.  Furthermore,  he has done so in a fiscally responsible approach to the management of the office.  He has eliminated waste and reduced his budgets as the economy reduced the work load of the office.  This is sound fiscal management.
His knowledge and expertise has been used by many people from the county to solve difficult and complex property issues.  Legislators, Title Companies, Attorney's, Realtors, and Property Owners seek his advice when dealing with disputes.  I have received letters of praise from many of these industry leaders.  His knowledge in real estate and land matters is a vital asset to our county.

He is also a humble and gentle man that has earned the respect of his peers.  He has received surveyor of the year awards from both the public and private sector and the county recorders association recognized him as an outstanding county recorder.  His influence is felt State wide as part of a recognized team of public servants in Weber county.  I support Ernest Rowley for our Weber County Recorder/Surveyor." - Kerry W. Gibson, Weber County Commissioner

"The Utah Association of County Surveyors (UACS) are aware there are two candidates running for the combined office of Surveyor/Recorder in Weber County, Utah. The current office holder, Mr. Ernest Rowley, is a Professional Licensed Surveyor (PLS) in the State Of Utah. The other candidate is not a licensed land surveyor and has little claim to experience in property protection  issues and surveying matters.  Whereas, In addition to surveying, professional surveyors are educated and trained in all aspects of deeds and accurate records, UACS believes it is in the best interest of Weber County Government and the Citizens of Weber County to maintain the highest professional standards possible in this office.  To best protect the integrity of property boundaries, responsible, knowledgeable records management and accurate mapping for emergency response, we recommend and endorse the candidacy of Ernest Rowley, PLS for Weber County Surveyor/Recorder." Utah Association of County Surveyors

"For several years, I have been acquainted with Ernest Rowley in his capacity as the Weber County Recorder and Surveyor.  Ernest brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from a rich surveying background.  A significant part of the business of title insurance is reliable real property descriptions.  Because of Ernest's qualifications, he is able to identify and help fix description problems promptly and efficiently.
The County Recorder must possess a disposition for detail and accuracy so the public has a record on which it can rely when purchasing real estate or loaning money where real estate is used as collateral.  The office of the Weber County Recorder, over which Ernest has responsibility, fits this expectation. I recommend that you support Ernest Rowley in his re-election bid for the Weber County Recorder and Surveyor"Paul Newton, Vice President of Backman Title Services

"I became acquainted with Ernest in connection with a very challenging real estate litigation case filed in the Third District Court in Salt Lake County, Utah.  I represented two of the parties and I retained Ernest as an expert witness to help me with some extraordinarily sophisticated boundary, surveying and related real estate issues.  Ernest assisted me in lengthy litigation proceedings which included numerous depositions and multiple hearings.  Because the case involved very complicated real property issues, multiple expert witnesses appeared to offer competing opinions about how to resolve these issues.

Ernest was instrumental in shedding light on these matters and the Court was, in the end, persuaded by Ernest's expert opinions in ultimately making its ruling in favor of my clients.  Throughout the process that lasted well in excess of one year, Ernest conducted himself competently and with an extreme amount of integrity.  He was able to quickly review evidence and legal principles and apply his knowledge literally to the ground as we grappled with these most difficult issues.  Perhaps most importantly, he is reliable, honest and forthright in his dealings with others."Thomas E. "I've only personally known Mr. Ernest Rowley for the last two to three months, but it only took the first visit in his office for me to recognize his commitment to do his job correctly, serving the people here in Weber County as our recorder/surveyor.  His willingness to spend many hours of research in order to settle a boundary-line dispute on my property, made me realize right then his belief, commitment and determination to work for the property rights of land owners in Weber County, and not just talk about it.

During the following weeks he and his willing assistant took the time to research through records pertaining to my property, which were over 100 years old. The information we reviewed with him was priceless!

This public servant needs to stay in office!!  We need him!!!  Weber County needs him!!!!  I honestly and personally believe he is here to serve, work for and save the constitutional rights of the citizens and land owners of Weber County. This entire country needs more public servants of his caliber, but it has to start at the local level.  Get out this June and make your voice heard and your VOTE count !!!!!!!! Dolores B. Tippetts

"This gentleman knows his stuff and then some. My mother had a situation concerning the recorded boundary of the southwest corner of her farm. Mr. Rowley addressed the issue without hesitating, hum-hawing or trying to dance around it, answered our questions very thoroughly and patiently, and continues to advise us on how to take care of it.  He is a complete and total asset to all of us living here in Weber County. Those of us who truly care about the lawful administration of our private land rights must retain this man in office.  In fact, I'm starting my own little campaign mantra----VOTE FOR HONEST ERNEST !!!

Thank you for doing your homework and understanding why you vote for whom you vote.  Please encourage everyone you know to get out and vote for Ernest Rowley so he can continue serving as our recorder/surveyor.   Your land may depend on it."- Claudia T. Farr

I guess lots of people want to live in this area!  That is why we are trying to help make a difference by being a delegate.  We would like to recommend Ernest Rowley to you as Weber County Surveyor/Recorder.

We have known Ernest for several years both in community and church projects.  He is highly intelligent and honest.  If he makes a commitment he will see that it gets done - he is very dependable.  He is the most qualified for the job and has done a great job in office.  Formal training is an important item in any job and Ernest is carrying all the degrees and schooling that is critical for this job.  This is why we are voting for him and would urge you to think about doing the same."
